F.A.Q.

The ultimate objective of Naturopathy is to treat a patient as a whole, including healing the body, the mind and spirit. Naturopathy also focuses on the healing of the underlying causes of a patient's symptoms instead of just trying to heal the symptoms themselves.

An initial examination by a naturopathic practitioner may take a couple of hours. They will inquire about a patient's stress, lifestyle habits, medical history, diet, and other aspects of their life.

A Naturopath may order lab tests (click here) to look for nutritional deficiencies or other clues to the underlying cause of a patient's symptoms. They then put together a personalized treatment-health plan for the patient, focusing on the aspects of prevention and education. The Naturopath may offer the patient tips on how to manage their stress properly, what to include in (and exclude from) their diet, and what kind of exercise regimen to follow.

What is Naturopathy?

Of course! I obtained my license with the ANPQ (Association des Naturopathes Professionnels du Québec), and my practice number is ND-1948. You will be able to receive a receipt for all your consultations and work sessions.

Can I get a receipt for my insurance?

Does the Naturopath have her license to practice?

Absolutely. I graduated from the CMDQ for my Naturopath degree and am licensed by the ANPQ (ND-1948). I am thus fully qualified to help you both as a Naturopath and as a Registered Nurse, also holding nursing degrees from the College d’Alma and from the University of Sherbrooke.

Naturopathy can help you find a healthy lifestyle, restore the nutritional balance, fight excess weight, release physical and emotional tension, support physical activity, promote prevention and increase the potential for self-healing, stimulate the functions of the immune system and activate the lymphatic system, eliminate accumulated toxins, optimize sports performance, learn to become independent and to listen to your body, keep the person healthy by natural means and in a preventive way, feel supported and helped in order to find harmony with yourself, your environment and others.

How can Naturopathy help me?

Are there any obligations with Naturopathy?

Not at all, after your first consultation with me, you will be able to discuss your choices and limits. I will also be able to recommend the optimal plan for you according to YOUR needs. You will be free to accept or not depending on your motivation level regarding your health.

First, food is “almost” everything! If supplements are not your thing, I will be able to recommend the most nutritious food choices instead. You might benefit from some supplements, but you will never be forced to buy anything. You decide, it’s your health and your money after all!

Will I be obliged to buy supplements?

Can Naturopathy work for older people?

It is never too late to take care of your health, in order to age well and continue to prevent disease and support the changes that may appear with aging. If you already take medications under prescription, I will focus on combining a better lifestyle, together with the advice from your doctor. Nothing to compromise your health, just to help your overall health and help you to boost the capacity of your immune system.

I already take medications under prescription. Will I need to stop them?

If your goal is to stop a certain medication, I will help you reach that goal if your health can permit it. You will also need to verify with the doctor that prescribed the medication before stopping.

If you do not necessarily want to stop those medications but just want to have better habits, I will be able to assist you in achieving your goals. You will not have to stop taking them at all. The objective is to keep your whole body healthy, internally as well as externally and sometimes, medication is much needed!

What conditions can Naturopathy treat?

Please refer to the list of services here.

Will I need to take a lot of plants and herbs all day long?

The beautiful thing with working with myself is that I will marry your lifestyle, desires, and limits to the Health Plan. This is precisely why it is called a Personalized Plan. I might suggest different ingredients to help you heal or support a specific organ, but you will never be obliged to do anything if it does not fit with you and your lifestyle. You will be able to discuss anything with me and I might suggest alternative ways to reach your goals.
